Transparent Solar
We can supply and install a solar PV Glass transparent roofing system onto the roof of your choice. Typical examples include pergolas, car ports, verandas, skylights, swimming pool covers, bin stores, bike stores, service station canopies.
We use Polysolar’s Transparent Thin-film Cadmium telluride solar glass which is available in a range of transparencies from opaque to 80% light transmission. The glass can be double glazed if required.
The same solar glass can be installed vertically and used for windows, facades, rain screens. We can only apply this to commercial buildings, as it’s not cost effective to fit solar
windows in domestic properties.
Our design engineers will work with you to specify and fit an appropriate inverter so that you can use the power in your property. We can also supply battery storage and electric vehicle
(EV) charge points. -
Semi Transparent Solar
Where you need more power, we can supply and install Semi Transparent solar PV glass using bifacial Monocrystalline Silicon, black square silicon cells embedded in a transparent glass laminate.
These have a dual-sided design and can harness more sunlight, boosting energy production. Used for a canopy they provide an attractive dappled sunlight environment underneath. The cost of these panels is also less than the thin film transparent glass.
