The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)

The Workplace Charging Scheme is part of the OLEV grant, and the government will contribute up to £500 towards the install of up to 20 new electric vehicle charge points at your place of work.*

In order to qualify for the WCS you must meet the following criteria:

• -You must be a registered business or charitable organisation
• -Provide evidence for the need of EV chargers, or evidence of the intent to encourage the use of electric vehicles
• -Have off-street parking designated for employee (not customer) use
• -Have the charge points installed by an accredited installer such as Sunlight Future

If you meet the criteria, you can apply through the application portal. If successful you will be sent a voucher which you send to us, and we will organise the install of your charge point(s).**

*The number of charge points allocated is up to 20 across all sites, per applicant.

**The vouchers expire after 4 months, and the install must be completed within this time. If the voucher expires, you may apply for another one through the portal and use the new voucher code for your installation (there is no limit to how many times you can re-apply for vouchers for a single install).
